Executive Team
David Blackburn, President

David graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1999 with a degree in Accounting. After working with Deloitte and Touche, he joined RJ Allen and Associates in 2002 and grew the company from a small start-up to where it is today. He leads a family of companies, including Blackburn Communities, RJ Allen Group, Rowen Oak Funds, Anytime Fitness and Highpointe Mitigation.

An entrepreneur at his core David is always looking for new growth opportunities and how to improve all of his companies. Numerous awards from Fortune, various Business journals and other publications have not changed his drive and single-minded focus on being the best at whatever he does. His companies have been named one of the best places to work multiple times due to his tireless work ethic and leadership abilities.

Chris Wales, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Chris Wales has had a very diverse career. He sold national service accounts to Fortune 500 companies in Los Angeles as well as started his own successful service company out of his father-in-law’s garage in 1996. After selling his company in 2007, Chris began his career at Blackburn Communities in 2008 as an onsite Sales Director for Blackburn’s only residential location at the time. He has been instrumental in the company’s growth and is currently responsible for everything related to Sales and Marketing. He fully believes that the people that work for Blackburn make all the difference and is very proud of the team he has put together.

Chris is very busy outside of work as well with his three boys and wife Andrea. He retired from refereeing basketball a few years ago after calling the Texas 5A State Championship, working Division 2 and Juco college games all over the state, and was the President of the ABOA in Central Texas for three years.

Tyler Meisenheimer, Director of Sales, Oxford Commons

Tyler Meisenheimer serves as Director of Sales for Oxford Commons. Tyler brings 10 years of sales experience with a solution-based client strategy. Also serving as a licensed realtor for Blackburn Communities and member of the North Central Mississippi Board of Realtors, Tyler provides a wealth of Oxford real estate market knowledge pertaining to his clients. Tyler earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA from the University of Mississippi and has been a resident of Oxford, MS for 10 years. As a husband and father to three young boys, Tyler enjoys spending quality outdoor time with his family. He is a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Oxford, MS and volunteers as a guest speaker, advocate, and fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Jolie Dumoit, Director of Sales, Diamond Oaks

Jolie Dumoit is a dynamic sales professional with over 17 years of combined business, sales, and real estate experience. In 2009 she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and shortly after graduating, started her own business where she nurtured her combined passion for customer service with her entrepreneurial spirit. Jolie moved to Austin, TX in 2012 and began her career in real estate where she joined one of the largest brokers in Texas to become a successful Buyer’s Agent. She found this exciting career a natural fit and was named as one of the top 10 producing agents out of her group in the first year. Two years later, she was offered an opportunity to work with the Blackburn Communities team and has found that being the director of sales is a perfect environment for her. Jolie has an innate ability to truly understand her clients wants and needs, which makes her an ideal client advocate. With her desire to help others and enthusiastic personality, she is someone who will make sure you are happy throughout the entire home building process.

In her freetime Jolie likes to spend time with her husband and 3-year-old daughter Eleanor. She also likes to relax by playing classical piano, viola, and running on the trail with her two dogs Lucy and Coco.

Brooklyn Meidl, Director of Sales, Gardens at Mayfield

Brooklyn Meidl is the Director of Sales for Gardens at Mayfield. Following seven years in the service and hospitality industries, Brooklyn found her true calling in the Blackburn Communities family. Her joy and excitement for life are simply infectious. The child of a nurse mother and sales executive father, Brooklyn combines the personal empathy of her mother’s heart with the drive, excellence and customer service she learned from her father.

Brooklyn attends the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and finds joy in serving in the youth group organization. Being raised in Colorado has led her adventurous heart to love all manner of heart stopping, pulse pounding extreme sports. Her favorites include skydiving, MMA/kickboxing, motocross, and volleyball. This has led her to live by the motto of “Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured”.

Ron Vorndran, Vice President of Residential Construction

Ron Vorndran graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Art in Economics. Ron has been immersed in the construction industry for over 25 years. He is currently the Vice President of Residential Construction in Texas for Blackburn Communities. In his role he is always striving to build a better working environment with the sales and construction teams, continually look to lower costs while maintaining quality, and to produce a product that homeowners love. The unique quality that Ron brings to the Blackburn team is his positive and uplifting nature and tireless work ethic and team commitment.

Ron was born in El Paso, Texas and has been living in Austin for over 40 years. Ron is married to his loving wife Kim of 25 plus years and has two wonderful daughters.
